I proclaimed Picture Wednesday and then sort of failed....

....the last couple of weeks, so here's algo para ti:

Was anyone at this show? 2002. The palindrome year, folks.

I don't go see movies, I just wait for the book to come out.

Davey and I have pretty stellar faces in this one

Davey and I playing ping-pong during the recording of Art of Drowning. Check my devastating backhand. Whenever I unleash it, all bikes are blown into the rafters.

Skills, Jade. I challenge you to a ping pong war.

What book are you reading in that one picture? I can read like, half the sentences of one page, but definitely not enough to determine which book it is.

Boo_Baby_Doll said...

Heh, love the faces!! And the ping pong picture looks like you and Davey are having a really serious game XDDD

LOL @ 1st pic. No animals were harmed? Haha.

I seem to remember seeing that newspaper article on Jay Leno.
¿Eres de espana? lol. ¿Latino?
Right, because books come out after the movie premieres. I forgot that only happens in Berkeley.
I have that picture, it was in some magazine. Someone likes to jump.
*cough* Mmm, because "it's all in the wrist", isn't it? What I want to know is, what's with the bowling shoes? And how come you never wear blue anymore?
hmm. Knock-off Jades, available now at your local rite aid. Lolol.

One movie you SHOULD see: X-Men Origins. It was awesome. There was not a dull moment in that movie.

Those are all some fantastic pictures, Jade. I really like the fail one, part of me has a feeling that a lot of people think that way about meat in stores.

What book are you reading in that picture? It looks pretty short, and familiar to me for some reason.

The look of rage on Davey's face in that picture is priceless, along with you flying in the air.

And I've always had a deep appreciation for that ping-pong picture. So awesome.

Shadow147 said...

You made me do a funny.
BIG TIME.

xx

Christine said...

Very good images. Not wise that you like read,I think that the book always is better than the movie

Anonymous said...

"...go to the store and buy the meat that was made there.." ..Well you didn't fail THAT bad!

Awesome. Those faces are seriously gut-busting! Davey looks like he is frantically trying to get to the other side of the stage and you look quite amused about something. Also notice how Adam looks like he is itching the corner of his eye with the drumstick. Betcha missed that.

What book were you reading? I'd love to know some more books you like. Or post something you wrote? Maybe? Happy Saturday!

Mind telling us what you're reading? I've always found your choice of books very interesting. :)

The picture of you reading makes me think you look a bit like Steve Nash. Now that's a strange revelation.

That meat one fails so much. It's sad.

I'm not a movie person. More of a book person, but I find it hard to continue reading until the end, so sometimes I spend years trying to finish 1 book.

Mandy said...

Hahha, at least you made it Picture Saturday :P
Ay, The fail one's funny. Nonetheless, animals were harmed in the process of putting it on the market. That person must be a little bit fucked in the head...
I like the pictures :D

So I was totally confused by that newspaper article picture... I was like what??? How could anyone believe that? & then I read it to my sister and she said they were probably being sarcastic... like why are you against hunting when the same thing is done to the meat bought in stores. Interesting... Love the reading picture! I haven't been reading as much as I want...which is ironic because I'm an English major. Oops.

That's disgusting. Anyone who says dead animal were not harmed should open his eyes.
Bah. Now I'm sick. :(

Um, I wish I'd been at that show, but in fact in 2002 I didn't even know you guys exist. ô_O

i wasn't at that show, but if i'm not mistaken it was in the list of top 100 gigs in kerrang last year. i'm positive it was.

davey looks quite nervous at the thought of facing the ping-pong master methinks. lmao!

good man, reading a book, i always find that its better to read the book before one see's the movie. :)

do you and the guys still have epic ping-pong face offs? that would be a hella funny thing to record and put up! :P

i'm rooting for you, just don't tell the lads! ;)

that picture of you playing ping-pong is epic.in the other picture of where you are playing your guitar looks like there are flower petals in the background where the lights are and Davey looks like he has gass or something up his ass(not trying to be mean).

Holy crap, I LOVE picture Wednesday! Those are freaking awesome pictures! Especially the one with you and Davey playing ping-pong. He looks so ready to take your stellar backhand. Win!

Hanami said...

meh, I haven't gone to see a movie in a while either. Regarding your comment about feeling apathetic when listening to a new album: I haven't been excited about anything lately, but this upcoming year has some promising albums coming out - my 3 favorite bands are releasing new CDs - Muse, AFI, and a Japanese rocker named Gackt. (well, I guess it's kinda hard for you to enjoy the AFI album like someone who is listening to it for the first time... but I'm sure excited for it)

Natalie said...

Jade, may I ask what book you're reading?

I love the one of you reading... the angle and lighting is fantastic. Whoever takes these random pictures of you (like the Spotted Pig one) has a wonderful eye for photography!

Completely awesome Jade. I adore your sense of humour. Also, you do seem not to be one of those extremist vegetarians: you just take it as your choice.

That's cool by me. Oh, and I'd loved to be at that show.

Do it more often.

Anywhore, I have exams soon. Watch me care. *sits blankly for a moment, hoping Jade understands that I'm not very worried*

I work myself too hard.

If I made a clothing line, would you wear it? I can assure you it's your kinda thing.

You best do. Or I'll have to maime Davey and make you watch.

When I clicked on the pic of you reading it enlarged enough that I could see the words. One word that stood out in particular was "Divvytown" when I searched that word two books came up. Ship of Magic and Ship of Destiny. Judging by the length of the last word on the top of the second page, I'm guessing you were reading Ship of Magic. Now I'm considering reading this book myself. I hope its good. ;)
PS I'm not like stalking you or obsessed or anything. I just used a bit of logical reasoning because I was curious as to your literary preferences. :)
PPS I doubt you'll respond to this or anything but just to let you know, I thing we all would like to know if that is really the book you were reading. And you should recommend your favorite books to us:)

POW~

What books do you read, Jade?

<3, Theo

Tristan Wallace said...

That first news clipping...woah

Nice set of pics. For books, it's usually a big let down to see the film after reading the book. I pretty well feel that for most of the Harry Potter films (even though Alan Rickman is fabulous) and the Watch series (Night Watch, Day Watch). I'm sure the Twilight book had to be better than that movie lol

One film I enjoyed more than the novel, though, is Stardust by Neil Gaiman. The book is good, but the movie ending and slight changes are stellar and made it all the more enjoyable. Plus, who could resist seeing Robert DeNiro as a gay pirate?
